TRENDY VINTAGE SHIRTS

As an admirer of vintage (not an often-wearer, unfortunately), I can tell you there are lots of modern designers creating retro-styled collections. Definitely, they get inspiration from vintage garments, but, in fact, modern fashion is really all about reinterpretation of styles from the past.

I’ve personally been much inspired by Masayo Kishi’s new collection of blouses called Edeltrud Hofmann (the name comes from an alter ego invented for her by a German director friend for whom she once modelled). Seeking a more inspired, go-everywhere option, Kishi began to design a range of classic pussybow tops using deadstock silk fabric in kaleidoscopic prints. Look how stunning these blouses are!

The easiest way to try the on-going trend is a mix-n-match of vintage and newest garments in one outfit. Whatever you choose to style, I can assure you that this is the trend guaranteed to stick around for many-many years to come. Either invest in any worthy vintage blouse or pick one from the mass market that resembles vintage a lot!
